Our Policies
We are committed to ethical business practices and have a range of policies that reflect our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. These policies include:
Code of Conduct: Our Code of Conduct outlines our commitment to ethical business practices and sets expectations for our employees and supply chain partners. We expect our suppliers and other contractual partners to comply with the contents of our Code of Conduct or to apply a comparable code of conduct. We encourage our business partners to extend this expectation to their own supply chains. Wolford is identifying and verifying the contractual partners appropriately before entering supply relationships.
Whistleblowing Policy: We are a member of the Lanvin Group, which provides our employees with access to a whistleblower hotline.
Employees
Employees have a contract of employment in line with appropriate national legislative requirements. Within Wolford all employees get paid in accordance with their role and at least as much as required by statutory pay legislation. Employees have the right to raise any concerns without the risk or fear of reprisal. To ensure the safety and health of our employees, we take care to ensure compliance with numerous safety standards.
We do not tolerate child labour and observe the applicable legal minimum age for admission to employment. In addition, Wolford expects their contractors to have adequate means of determining age to prevent child labor.
We reject all forms of forced or compulsory labour, including any form of bonded labour, serfdom, slavery or slave-like practices, trafficking in human beings or any other involuntary labour and services that are not in conformity with internationally recognized labour and social standards.
Action steps implemented
We intend to continue our efforts to combat modern slavery:
Awareness: We are considering discussing the issue of modern slavery with our employees. We make every effort to ensure that our employees are aware of the issue by not keeping it silent in our company.
Working with suppliers: Wolford is strengthening the collaboration with suppliers to ensure they understand our ethical standards. Through close cooperation, suppliers are able to experience the values of our company. With every supplier we have signed a supplier code of conduct, which reflects well Wolford’s high labour standards.
Policy updates: We periodically update our policies to reflect the latest legal requirements and best practices.
Measuring Effectiveness
We strive to monitor and review the effectiveness of our policies and procedures by:
